You Set the Goals
We'll Call to Check In
Experts have estimated that around 40% of us make New Year’s resolutions. However, only 8% manage to stick to them. If you find yourself struggling to stick to your resolutions, then here’s some advice to help you get back on track and stay focused.

Here are some examples of the most common New Year’s resolutions that people set themselves:
  • You want to eat healthier: Most people know what it means to eat healthier. They know which foods to avoid and how to control portions, but they still find it difficult to stick to a diet. Without constant reminders and motivation to keep you going, you’ll have a hard time sticking to any kind of healthy eating plan.
  • You want to get active: Activity is good for us, but you’re not alone if you think you can’t handle going to the gym several times a week. However, it doesn’t need to be that difficult. With simple changes to your lifestyle, you can get active, stay active and change your life around.
  • You want to get enough sleep: We’re all busy these days, yet that doesn’t excuse us from sleeping just 5 or 6 hours a day. A minimum of 7 hours is needed to keep our bodies recharged, but it’s certainly not as easy as people think.
  • Learning a new skill: Motivation during the New Year can get you pumped to learn a new skill. It could be following an online course or even signing up for a local class. Either way, that motivation you have can quickly wear out and you’ll find yourself procrastinating and putting it off.
  • Spending more time with the family: Our busy lifestyles prevent us from spending quality time with our family, but it doesn’t need to be that way. With some smart changes to your lifestyle and constant reminders to keep you motivated, it’s possible to spend more time with your loved ones while also managing your work commitments.
Sticking to Your Goals
Why IS it So Hard to Stick to My Goals?
Despite knowing what we want to achieve, it’s still common to have difficulty keeping those commitments. Even if we change our habits, invest resources and spend a lot of time trying to change ourselves, it’ll always feel like something is missing.
That missing ingredient to your success is outside help.
Numerous studies have shown that having a partner to help you meet your objectives will drastically improve the chances of reaching your goals. Knowing that you’ll be asked about your progress on a regular basis has a positive effect on your motivation, hence the importance of working together with someone to reach your goals.
Many people have tried to replace real human interaction with smartphone apps. This could be an app to remind you to do something or even an app that tracks your calories. Some people use automated messages and others use email. This can work to some extent, but it’s nothing like being accountable to a real person.

It doesn’t need to be a serious coaching effort either. This isn’t a progress report and you’re not going to be punished for failing. Instead, it’s just a simple chat to see how you’re doing, to encourage you and to keep your motivation going. Humans are social creatures, and we thrive on the interaction we get from engaging with others. We’re far more likely to have meaningful conversations with an actual person as opposed to machines with automated responses.
Our detailed program follows a few simple steps:
  • When you subscribe to our service, you’ll fill in a short questionnaire that details your objectives and what you want to achieve.
  • You tell us when we can contact you.
  • During our first 15 minute call, we’ll review your objectives and discuss what steps you’d like us to follow up on.
  • A week later, your program starts and we’ll call you a number of times throughout the week (based on your specifications) to check your progress.
  • During these calls, we’ll monitor your progress, discuss difficulties and use a variety of strategies to motivate you.
  • We’ll also help you plan for the next week, including reasonable goals that you should aim for and any changes to our services that you require.
What We do
How Do We Help?
Unlike a smartphone app or gadget, we at Monitor My Goals provide real human support and motivation to help you reach your New Year’s resolutions. We’ve studied numerous papers and results of Randomized Controlled Trials on the topic of coaching. This helps us provide real results to all of our clients. We help you figure out your objectives, how to best approach them and how to establish reasonable objectives you can achieve.

Our methods are founded on many unique studies, such as “Coaching and Prompting for Remote Physical Activity Promotion: Study Protocol of a Three-Arm Randomized Controlled Trial (Movingcall)”. This paper covers the issue of physical inactivity and how remote promotion and coaching can provide long-term benefits to inactive adults with the use of technologies like SMS and telephone.
WILL IT WORK FOR ME?
Common Questions
It’s understandable that you might have some concerns when it comes to the services we offer. To ease your concerns, here are a couple of common questions that we get asked and our responses.
  • Why are you confident that your service can help me? Simple; we’re pioneers of our own technique. This isn’t a traditional program that you may have tried in the past. We at Monitor My Goals understand the limits of automated sources of motivation controlled by AI. Instead, we focus on human interaction and the benefits it can provide when it comes to motivating you and keeping you on track.
  • Can’t I ask just someone else to monitor for free? Absolutely! This is actually how many people power through their lack of motivation and reach their goals. However, it takes a lot of discipline and time to check up on you for a long period of time. Our monitors are trained to do this and they understand everything about their roles. They take your goals seriously. They’ll dedicate their time to ensure that you’re achieving your aims and making progress. There’s no guarantee that you can get this level of service from a friend or family member. This is why it’s best to get in touch with our specialist monitors if you’re serious about reaching your objectives.
  • What if I’m worried that my monitor will push me too far? One important thing to remember is that your monitor isn’t a personal trainer. They’re not there to push you beyond your limitations or work you like a drill instructor. Instead, they’re trained to be compassionate and understanding to your cause. Even if you’ve failed your objectives, you’re not going to get shouted at. We’re understanding and will do everything in our power to motivate you and keep you on track. However, we closely monitor your situation so that we don’t push you beyond your limitations.
  • How can I trust your coaching? Again, we’re not personal trainers or coaches. We’re here just to monitor you and motivate you. You should already know what needs to be done in order to reach your goals–we’re just here to give you added motivation and encouragement.
  • What happens if I miss a call? You’re expected to pick the right time for us to call you, but even if we can’t reach you, we’re more than happy to send a text, leave a voicemail or even email you.
